Vehicle Maintenance Guide

Let's look at the importance of car leasing maintenance, common maintenance responsibilities, and tips for you the customer to navigate this essential aspect of the leasing journey

Vehicle leasing has become an increasingly popular choice for individuals and businesses alike, offering the ability to drive new vehicles without the long-term commitment of ownership.

However, with the benefits of leasing come responsibilities, and one of the key aspects lessees must prioritise is car leasing maintenance. Proper maintenance not only ensures a smooth driving experience but also plays a crucial role in meeting the terms of the lease agreement.

Let's look at the importance of car leasing maintenance, common maintenance responsibilities, and tips for you the customer to navigate this essential aspect of the leasing journey.

Driver Maintained

If you receive a quote from us saying "Driver Maintained" it means the quotation does not include maintenance.

There will be no monthly cost, therefore Maintenance Rental will show ‘N/A’.

You should understand that by opting for a Driver Maintained agreement you are responsible for maintaining your vehicle and that you may incur additional costs for regular servicing, MOTs and any repairs required throughout the duration of the agreement over and above the monthly finance rental cost.

Funder Maintained

If "Funder Maintained" appears next to Maintenance, the quotation includes maintenance.

The monthly cost for maintenance is shown as ‘Maintenance Rental’.

The funder will cover the cost of maintenance and servicing as outlined in the finance agreement, but you are still responsible for taking the car to a dealership/garage approved by the lender for repair, regular servicing in line with the manufacturer’s service intervals, MOT inspections, etc.

The benefits of choosing Funder Maintenance?

  • Predictable Monthly Costs: you will benefit from fixed monthly payments that cover not only the use of the vehicle but also its maintenance and servicing costs. This predictability simplifies budgeting and financial planning.

The total cost of leasing, including maintenance, is bundled into a single, easy-to-manage monthly payment. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals and businesses seeking financial convenience.

You will have peace of mind knowing that the vehicle is comprehensively covered, and they won't be surprised by unexpected maintenance costs.

This can positively impact the vehicle's resale value, which may be relevant if the you decides to purchase the vehicle at the end of the lease term or if the vehicle is sold in the used car market.
