Alpha Contracts Leasing Limited is a company registered in England and Wales company number 03665973 (hereinafter referred to as “we", "our" or "us").

We respect your privacy and feel it is important for you to know how we collect and process the information we receive from you via our website at www.alphacontracts.co.uk via Social Media Platforms or where information is provided to us by our customers (known collectively as the “Service”). Who are Alpha Contracts Leasing Ltd.

We are a Credit Broker, and we provide leasing deals to our customers. We work with a number of finance companies and manufacturers to get the best possible deal for our customers.

Alpha Contracts Leasing Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 671136) We are also members of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association. We are registered with the Information Commissioners Office. Our registration number is Z5055488.

The Information we collect

  • Personal details/ identity – title, full name including any middle or previous names 
  • Date of Birth 
  • Contact telephone numbers - landline and mobile 
  • Address history - up to 5 years address history is required
  • Income and expenditure 
  • Market research (where you have agreed to participate) 
  • Website history/cookie data 
  • Recorded phone conversations – calls are recorded for training and monitoring purposes 
  • Emails and other correspondence 

To apply to the lender for a credit acceptance and process an order, we will require further information which allows us to complete these commitments. Types of further information may include but are not limited to:

  • Employment details 
  • Bank details – Sort code and account number 
  • Copy of Driving Licence 
  • Copy of Passport
  • Bank statements
  • Copy of Utility Bill

How we use this information and the legal basis for processing

We will only process information that is necessary for the purpose for which it has been collected. The legal basis of processing will vary depending on the type of service you have requested, and we have listed some examples of our processing activities below;

  • Engage with customers to offer and administer our products and services 
  • Secure a Finance Approval – The lender will share your information with credit and fraud prevention agencies. Where information is shared with a finance lender for the purpose of a credit application, the use of automated decision making by the funder may be used. This type of decision will use the information provided by you at the point of application. 
  • KYC (Know Your Customer) – Identification checks 
  • Process your requests 
  • Administer delivery of your vehicle – This will include sharing your information with a third party (vehicle supplier/delivery agent) 
  • Carry out your instructions throughout the lifetime of your agreement 
  • Correspond with lenders and third-party providers - Where these parties process your information, they will do so under their own privacy policy rules and guidelines 
  • Send promotional information via email, text or telephone call -where consent has been given

If you are not happy to provide the information listed above, we may not be able to process your request or assist in the brokering of an agreement with our panel of lenders.

Information provided to the Alpha Contracts Leasing Ltd, will not be shared, transferred or stored outside of the European Economic Area (EEA). Information shared with third party providers may store your information outside of the UK and they will have the correct permissions and a GDPR privacy policy to allow this. Your information is not provided to these companies for marketing purposes

Automated Decisions and Profiling

Your personal data is not used in any automated decision making (a decision made solely by automated means without any human involvement) or profiling (automated processing of personal data to evaluate certain conditions about an individual).

Change Of Purpose

We will process your personal data for the purpose for which we collected it. If we process your personal data for another purpose that we reasonably consider to be compatible with the original purpose, we will notify you and explain the legal basis which allows us to do so.

How do we share this information?

We do not sell your information to third parties, but we do work closely with third party suppliers who fulfil business activities for us. In these situations, we will only share the information that is necessary for the third party to perform the processing activity it was provided for, such as;

  • third party service providers who support the operation of our business, such as IT and marketing suppliers, financial service providers, delivery companies, dealer groups and debt collection agencies (as is necessary for the performance of a contract between you and us and/or as is necessary for our legitimate interests); 
  • third party insurance providers (as is necessary for the performance of a contract between you and us and/or as is necessary for our legitimate interests).
  • fraud prevention agencies and associations, (as is necessary for compliance with our legal obligations and/or as is necessary for our legitimate interests); 
  • regulators and law enforcement agencies, including the police, the Financial Conduct Authority or any other relevant authority who may have jurisdiction (as is necessary for compliance with our legal obligations).

Some of these third parties may also be considered a data controller in respect of holding your personal data. In these cases, we will provide you with the privacy statements of those parties.

How Do We Protect Your Data

We are committed to keeping your personal data safe and secure and employ a number of security measures such as:

  • We ensure our Websites and data is supported with TLS 1.2 technology using RSA 2048-bit security standard and/or other appropriate standards from time to time; 
  • Monitoring and auditing our service providers to ensure they have an adequate level of protection as required; 
  • All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. 
  • We use reasonable, organisational, technical and administrative measures to protect personal information under our control. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Website; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access; 
  • Our Website may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our third-party partner networks, social media platforms, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites should have their own privacy notices/policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these third-party websites and the notices/policies. Please check these notices/policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.

Consequences Of Not Providing Information

We need your information in order to:

  • provide products and services to you
  •  perform our contract with you 
  • comply with our legal obligations 
  • protect our legitimate interests and manage our business.

If you chose not to provide information, we will not be able to:

  • provide requested products or services to you 
  • continue to provide/renew existing products or services.

We will tell you when we ask for information which is not a contractual requirement or needed to comply with our legal obligations.

How long will my data be stored for?

We store your data for as long as this is necessary to provide our services to you or for as long as we have a legitimate interest in its further storage.

Your rights. 

In relation to the information, we hold on you, you have a number of rights which have been summarised below:

Right of access - You have the right to access the personal information we hold on you and to obtain information about how we process it. This is formally known as a Data Subject Access Request (SAR). If we agree that we have an obligation to comply with your request, we will do so within one calendar month from date of the request and this information will be provided free of charge. If your request is complex, our response time may be a maximum of three calendar months from date of receipt. We may charge a reasonable fee for these complex requests

.Right to Rectification – You can request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information we hold about you.

Right to Erasure – in some cases, the right to request deletion or removal of your information where there is no good reason for us to continue processing it, for example where processing is no longer necessary for the purpose for which your information was collected. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal information where you have exercised your right to object to processing (see below). Please note that we may continue to retain your information if we are entitled to or required to retain it.

Right to Restriction of Processing – you can ask us to suspend the processing of personal information about you, for example if you want us to establish its accuracy or the reason for processing it.

Right to Object – You may object to us processing your personal information if we are not entitled to use it anymore. Please note, there may be situations where you object to our processing of your information, but we are entitled to continue processing your information and/or refuse your request. You have the right to object where we are processing your personal information for direct marketing purposes. If we agree that your objection is justified in accordance with your rights under Data Protection laws, we will permanently stop using your data for those purposes or provide you with reasonable justification as to why we are required to continue using your information.

Right to Withdraw your Consent – where we are processing your personal data based on your consent then you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal

Automated Decision Making and Profiling – you have the right not to be subject to a decision which is based solely on automated processing (including any profiling), which would have a significant legal effect. As previously mentioned, Alpha Contracts Leasing Ltd is a credit broker not a lender. Automated Decision making is applicable to the lender/finance company and their privacy policy.

Right to Data Portability – in some circumstances, you have the right to receive certain information you have provided to us in an electronic format and/or request that we transmit it to a third party in a format that can easily be re-used.

Our website may host links to approved partners, lender/finance companies or associates. We may host these links, Alpha Contracts Leasing Ltd does not have any governance or control over these websites. We will occasionally update this Notice, in our sole discretion. When we post changes to this Notice, we will revise the "Issue Date” at the bottom of this Notice in order to notify you of changes.
