The Chinese automaker BYD is planning to establish 3,000 flash-charging stations across Europe by 2027, including 600 in the UK, in a project valued at £1.5 billion.
The company argues that the broad availability of its five-minute charging system could help overcome the final hurdle deterring consumers from purchasing electric vehicles.
